OUTDOOR ROOM ADDITION
In the past, the outdoor space of this Baulkham Hills home was not used to its full potential. It was disconnected from the interior and shading limited to shade cloth. The position of the trees also impacted the practical use.
Connected indoor and outdoor living
The floor plan of the house needed to change. The installation of new bifold doors allows the indoor area to be well connected to the outdoor area. Elevating the new timber deck by 300mm bringing it up to the same level as the floors inside also contributed to the now seamless transition that makes the pergola so user friendly.
Inviting timber decking
The new timber decking creates a warm appearance and invites the family to enjoy this alfresco all year round.
Insulated roof covers outdoor area
The addition of a new insulated roof spanning the entire width of the house means that now the home owners can enjoy the space being in the shade during the hot summer months. Fans and lighting makes the space more functional.
Popular outdoor bar
A new gas lift-up window replaced the old one. As a result, the benchtop runs across both sides of the window now. The bar is now a popular spot to have a cool drink or a snack taken right out from the kitchen counter.
