NEW LIVING ROOM / DINING ROOM DESIGN
What a transformation this place has seen. Located in Thornleigh with uninterrupted views into an extensive bushland creek, this 1960s bungalow received a complete makeover from the roof down to its flooring and everything in between.
Open plan living with a view
First of all, the owners decided to change the existing floor plan to take advantage of the stunning views. Therefore kitchen, living room and dining area are now combined in an open plan living area with an outlook straight into the luscious bushland.
New aluminium windows
The owners replaced the existing windows by sleek aluminium frames in a charcoal colour. Gone are also the thick curtains and the moody colour scheme. Instead, delicate furniture and light colours provide a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
Wood fireplace
To ensure the owners can enjoy cold winter days warm and snug in their living room, a wood operated fireplace has been installed. Special feature are the logs that are stacked up on show.
An original painting becomes a focal point
Inevitably, it draws the attention towards the original David Bromley painting that hangs right above. The art loving couple is not afraid to make a statement in their living area.
