A dated sitting room gets a stylish makeover. Get the look with my “How To'” guide!
My main objective of this project was to create an elegant and refined space that was also inviting – a room people wanted to be a part of. The clients wanted a contemporary look, which was liveable for a family of four.
The makeover started with a Leather lounge – streamlined, no fuss which was important as room was small and could not cope with a busy pattern. Black gloss polyurethane storage units were brought into the design. This suited the contemporary look and they did not compete with the other elements in the design.
A new glass coffee table and dining table were also brought in. The glass complimented the modern interior setting and was used to create the illusion of space and to allow the rug to be fully appreciated.
The accents such as colourful pillows, textured rug and sheer curtains added some visual interest while satisfying the needs of the client on creating a stylish and liveable space.
