- Member of the Colour Society of Australia
Giving up original career
Originally a high school teacher, Robyn resigned from her position aged 43 in order to enrol in a three-year design course at Western Sydney University. Studying full time, she also juggled the demands of her two daughters, Brittany then 6 years old, and Nicola, 15 years old and severely disabled, and a spouse who travelled extensively overseas for work.
Made the right decision
Robyn said: “Despite the trials and tribulations I knew from day one that I had made the right decision and entirely immersed myself into study”.
Work for Clarendon
After successful graduation, Robyn worked initially for Clarendon Homes, a well-established home building company operating across Australia, before taking the plunge to become her own boss.
Space has an impact on people
“I believe that a physical space has an enormous impact on your ability to learn, work, relax and enjoy life”, Robyn said.
The role of an Interior Designer
The Interior Designer understands that her role is to interpret clients’ needs, decipher their likes and create a space that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing. Robyn prides herself on understanding these and transforming those needs into the perfect space for her client.
Reflecting the clients’ values
She believes that interior design should reflect the personality and life experience of a homeowner or, respectively, the brand and ethos of the company for commercial clients. No two clients have the exact same requirements; Robyn’s artistic vision and experience ensure each client is presented with a unique solution – not just her own personal style.
Robyn’s mantra
As the founder of Inspired Spaces, Robyn is convinced that interior design is a necessity, not a luxury.
Being an author for several design publications including the Sydney Hill’s Living Magazine, Robyn is also the judge for the Hills Building Design awards. The business owner is a member of both the Design Institute of Australia and The Colour Society of Australia. As a key presenter of seminars at numerous expositions, Robyn was also the industry representative for the HIA trade show.

When you engage Robyn, you know you will receive her finest creative advice and her superb customer service. Robyn’s clients frequently express their delight in working with her, and you can read about their experiences in her testimonials.
